A teenager drowned Saturday in a quarry in Butler County.
Authorities say 14-year-old Destin Badeau of Pittsburgh drowned while swimming at a pond in a private area on Shroyer Mill Road in Clay Township. The drowning happened sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Badeau’s family was apparently having a picnic in the area Saturday when Destin went into the pond for one last swim of the day but didn’t return.
