Police in Cranberry Township are getting new tools that officials say will help keep the community safe.
The department received a crime and delinquency grant that will expand the systems police use, including more cameras and supporting software.
The township will have to pay for design and engineering services which are not covered by the grant.
Police say once the software is implemented, upgrades will “enhance enforcement and investigation capabilities.”
They also say it will help detect stolen, wanted, and other vehicles of interest.
