Butler County is continuing to see population growth thanks to more residents moving into the southwestern corridor.
According to new numbers from Penn State Data Center, Lancaster Township saw one of the largest jumps in population percentage-wise. An estimated 840 residents moved into Lancaster Township, which is a 30 percent increase since 2020. That is the 2nd highest increase in percentage for a municipality in the state.
There have also been increases in Cranberry, Adams, and Jackson Townships.
The largest growth in the state remains in southeastern Pennsylvania, although Philadelphia City has seen a significant drop in population.
