The Detroit Tigers hit four home runs in a 7-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates last night. Bailey Falter and Carmen Mlodzinski allowed two round-trippers each. The Pirates had five hits, all singles except for an Andrew McCutchen double.
The Pirates activated catcher Joey Bart from the Injured List due to a concussion prior to the game. He started and was hitless in three at-bats. Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds left last night’s game in the second inning after his wife Blair went into labor with their third child.
The Bucs and Tigers play again tonight at 6:40pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:15pm. Andrew Heaney will start for the Pirates. He is 3-5 this season with a 3.33 ERA.
