The first human case of West Nile Virus in Allegheny County has been confirmed.
The Department of Health confirmed the positive test, which is a resident in Plum.
The person began experiencing symptoms in mid-July according to officials.
Symptoms include fever, malaise, diarrhea and anorexia.
The Department of Health is setting up additional surveillance in the area.
