As part of National Dairy Month, residents can once again celebrate the return of the Pennsylvania Ice Cream Trail.
The 9th annual “Scooped: Ice Cream Trail” connects the PA Department of Agriculture’s PA Preferred Program, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Tourism Office, and the Center for Dairy Excellence.
According to Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, the trail is a partnership between nearly 5,000 dairy farmers and 59 total creameries involved, including Penn Gold Ice Cream in Harrisville.
Participants can earn digital passport rewards by visiting shops along the trail between now and September 7th such as a commemorative insulated bag or an entry into the grand prize drawing for a Merrymead Farm Family Experience and overnight stay at Normandy Farms. More information is available online through the VisitPA.com website.
