A motorist has been fatally injured as a result of a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Venango Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 5:30 p.m. for a car versus flatbed with entrapment at the intersection of Oneida Valley Road (Route 38) and Woods Road.
Crews from Eau Claire were among those responding to the scene along with State Police and soon requested a Stat MedEvac helicopter to land near the scene. About 15 minutes later the helicopter was canceled due to “termination of resuscitation efforts”. At least one other injury was reported with ambulance transport to Grove City.
A portion of Route 38 at Branchton Road needed to be shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.
