A new doctor specializing in infectious diseases will be joining the staff of Independence Health System.
Dr. Jimmy Chua is joining IHS at the Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital locations as the medical director of infectious diseases.
Dr. Chua is an award-winning, board-certified infectious disease specialist with a fellowships in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio as well as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
Dr. Chua will provide consultations for inpatient care and establish an outpatient clinic to expand access to specialized care.
