Numerous reports indicating that recent Butler high school graduate Kyle Casteel has agreed to a deal with the Chicago White Sox. The young pitcher, who helped Butler win the WPIAL championship this season, will get a reported $1.25 million to forgo college and turn professional after being drafted in the 11th round of last weekend’s MLB draft. Casteel had been committed to West Virginia. The White Sox had the first overall selection this year, and had a league-best $20.4 million in bonus pool money to chase after their recent selections.
