PennDOT is launching a new safety initiative for teen drivers.
This is Teen Driver Safety Week and the new social media campaign prepares young drivers for different situations they might encounter while behind the wheel.
The tips include how to change a flat tire, check oil fluids, and what to do if you’re stopped by law enforcement.
PennDOT and State Police say that motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among teenagers. Over the last five years, there have been nearly 80,000 crashes involving teens in the state, resulting in 486 fatalities.
