A Butler man has been charged after he attempted to flee from police in the City of Butler earlier this month.
The incident happened back on October 16 just before 2 a.m. when police attempted to pullover a motorcyclist driving the wrong way on West Cunningham Street.
According to charging documents, when the officer attempted to pull over the vehicle for driving the wrong way the driver fled. The chase went through the city to the Butler Freeport Trail, where the pursuit ended due to concrete pillars blocking the officer from continuing.
Officers were able to obtain the license plate and identified the driver as 18-year-old Jayden Hogue. On October 19, officers went to Hogue’s home and it’s alleged he admitted to being on the motorcycle.
Hogue is facing several driving citations and a misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude an officer.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 14.
