Cranberry Township is taking steps to move forward with an authority that will oversee emergency services.
The board of supervisors approved the initial steps that will start the process of creating an Emergency Services Authority.
This will create an authority that will be a fee-based model. Officials believe this would lead to sustainable long-term funding.
The board could officially approve the authority at their December 10th meeting.
