The Pennsylvania State House has passed a bill that requires landlords to pay their tenants with a relocation payment when a property is condemned.
Landlords will be required to pay permanently displaced tenants a relocation payment that equals to six months rent. If it’s a temporary displacement, the payment must be one month’s worth.
The bill passed the house with a 106-97 house vote, it now moves to senate committees before a vote on the senate floor.
