Butler high school graduate Hunter Swidzinski is tied with Nick Turowski, a graduate of Penn-Trafford, heading into the final round of the 126th annual West Penn Amateur. Both shot a 1-over 141 Monday at the Kahkwa Club in Erie. Swidzinski had opened the tournament as the first round leader with a 2-under 68. Turowski had opened with a 69. Two other golfers are two strokes back.
Hunter, who is a past high school state champion, recently set the course record at Olde Stonewall Golf Course in Ellwood City with a 62.
