The investigation into a fire that destroyed an apartment complex in Clarion County this past March has concluded that the cause of the blaze was accidental.
On the afternoon of March 23rd, a fire destroyed 15 apartments and the apartment complex office at the Corcetti Apartments in Monroe Township.
The fire was found to have originated in an attached garage as radiant heat furnaces used to heat the hot water for the complex were blamed for starting the blaze. There was insurance on the building and many residents had renters insurance but the Red Cross has been able to assist displaced families.
A number of citizens provided photos and video of the fire to investigators which helped in their determination. Anyone else with information about this or any fire is asked to contact the State Police Fire Marshal unit.
