Congressman Mike Kelly is introducing a bill that would make digital asset donations eligible for charitable donation.
Kelly introduced the Charitable Deductions for Digital Asset Act this week.
Kelly says currently, digital asset donations take extra time and money to be appraised. This includes assets such as cryptocurrency.
Under the bill, digital assets would now be treated as traditional donations and have the same tax rules applied to them.
Kelly says pushing this bill forward will allow for ease of donation in a modernized form.
