For the first time in over 30 years Pennsylvania, all three branches of government will be controlled by Democrats.
Democrats were able to flip four previously held Republican strongholds in the state senate, allowing Democrats to earn a 26-24 majority.
Democrats were able to flip the 6th, 16th, 24th, and the 40th districts and are projected to pick up over 15 seats in the state house. This will be the first Democratic trifecta in Pennsylvania since 1994.
The four Republican strong hold congressional districts that Governor Josh Shapiro had been campaigning for all flipped to Democrats. The 1st, 7th, 8th, and 10th all flipped from Republican to Democrat.
