Dog license enforcement is set to ramp up next week.
The Bureau of Dog Law will be traveling through Butler County starting next week, making sure all dogs are properly licensed.
The canvassing will start in the Slippery Rock area next Wednesday and will continue moving south for the next three weeks.
If your dog is unlicensed, the fine is $500.
Dog licenses are sold on the Butler County website or in-person at the Treasurer’s office inside the Butler County Government Center.
