The Butler Township Planning Commission has approved a recommendation about a proposed car dealership.
After hearing from a representative for the developer of a new Mike Kelly KIA on Evans City Road, the commission voted to approve the plans that would also include access from Whitestown and Meridian Roads.
This proposal is for the approximately four-and-a-half-acre vacant property that is zoned commercial. The development would include a 29,000 square foot KIA Dealership costing nearly $7 million and creating about 45 new permanent jobs.
If given final approval by Butler Township Commissioners later this month, site preparation work could begin this summer with an opening sometime in the spring of next year.
