The Knoch School Board has agreed to more improvements at the high school while also investing in new equipment.
During the Wednesday night school board meeting, board members approved a contract with TMR Roofing in the amount of about $576,000 to replace about two-thirds of the roof on the high school. The work will take place over this summer and help to ensure that newly-remodeled parts of the facility such as the wellness area are protected. A 10 year warranty is included with half the amount paid from the current year budget and the remainder paid using the budget that begins next month.
Board members also agreed with the recommendation of administrators to purchase 25 copiers from the Wilson Group at a cost of just over $220,000. This represents about $100,000 in savings over leasing the machines over the course of the five year lifespan. These will replace the current six year old machines from the same company and a maintenance agreement is not included.
The Knoch Board will hold their July meeting in the newly completed commons area of the high school cafeteria.
