Up to 75 potential jurors will be called to the Butler County Courthouse for the man accused of killing 15-year-old Aiden Lutz in October 2023.
In a hearing yesterday, an administrator shared with the court that over 150 summons have been sent, but only 75 potential jurors will be called to court in the case of 41-year-old Joshua Rivera.
The hearing also covered the prosecution attempting to question and have testimony from a defense expert struck from the record. Visiting Judge James Arner denied the motion and told the prosecution to raise objections during court.
Both attorneys also argued about potential juror questions but a ruling on what may or may not be asked was not finalized. Including the question of if a political flyer sent years ago to registered voters and potential jurors can be shown.
