The man accused of threatening federal officials including President Donald Trump has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
According to the Department of Justice, 32-year-old Shawn Monper of Butler will face eight charges. He could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison or fined up to $250,000 on each count.
Monper was taken into custody last month at a home on Morton Avenue. He is currently in the Butler County Prison.
The FBI was assisted by the Butler Township Police in this investigation which also found three handguns that were purchased this year.
