A Butler man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after threatening his neighbors after they asked him to move his vehicles.
Butler City Police were called to a home on the 100 block of Wilkins Avenue Friday morning, after neighbors called about a man that would not move vehicles blocking their driveway and threatening them with a hammer.
When police interviewed the suspect, he quickly became argumentative. When asked to move the vehicles the suspect declined leading to his wife moving them from blocking the driveway.
When police asked for the suspects name he declined three times and was put under arrest. Police eventually identified the man as 36-year-old Erik Cupps.
He was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and resisting arrest and placed in prison on $10,000 bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
