A man is facing charges after he allegedly stole items from the Walmart in Butler and then crashed his car.
On June 22, police were called to Walmart in Butler Commons for retail theft. The suspect took off in his car before crashing.
Police were able to locate the vehicle and the suspect, 51-year-old Lashawn Barber of North Versailles, on the 100 block of Merritt Drive.
Barber has been charged with retail theft, driving with a suspended license, and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 30.
