A local state park will again host a popular seasonal festival this weekend.
McConnells Mill will host the 33rd annual Heritage Festival- sponsored by the Rotary Club of Portersville-Prospect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Kildoo Picnic Area.
Families will be able to enjoy free tours of the gristmill as well as art and craft demonstrations. A Civil War encampment will offer another unique experience. There will also be live music and various vendors throughout the weekend as well.
A hay wagon will shuttle attendees from the parking lot down to the mill. There are no charges for admission or parking at the McConnells Mill Heritage Festival.
