The Pittsburgh Pirates finally scored more than 4 runs in a game for the first time in a month, but it still wasn’t enough to come away with a win. The Pirates fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 8-5 last night.
The Pirates called up starter Mike Burrows from AAA to get the start last night. He went five innings, allowing four runs and two home runs. Spencer Horwitz recorded his first home run as a Pirate in the loss.
The game was delayed for over an hour due to weather.
The Pirates square off against the Brewers tonight, with Paul Skenes on the mound. First pitch at 6:40 p.m.
General Manager Ben Cherington also told reporters that there is “no chance” the Pirates trade Paul Skenes.
