The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game series sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates following a 4-0 victory Sunday. The Pirates managed only two singles in the game off Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell. The Pirates went with three relievers in the game. Lake Bacher opened and took the loss. He allowed one run on a hit over two innings. He walked three and struck out one. Carmen Mlodzinski pitched the next three innings allowing three runs on five hits.
The Pirates scored three first inning runs in a 4-3 loss Saturday and fell 5-4 in 10-innings Friday. The Bucs are now six games under .500 and have fallen 8-1/2 games out of the Wild Card race.
They visit the San Diego Padres to begin a three-game series tonight. First pitch is 9:40pm. WISR pre-game begins at 9:15pm. Braxton Ashcraft will start for the Pirates.
