Riverside has reached the PIAA Class 3A championship game after a 4-1 victory over South Park Tuesday. Riverside pitcher Christian Lucarelli allowed two hits and struck out six. The Duke recruit earned his 300th career strikeout in the game. The run he allowed snapped a 46-inning post-season scoreless streak by Riverside pitchers. Riverside will meet Mount Carmel in the state championship game at Penn State Thursday afternoon. Zach Hare will carry his post-season hitless streak into that game as the Riverside starting pitcher.
–Indiana outlasted East Pennsboro 6-5 in 17-innings to also reach the Class 4A title game. The game had been suspended Monday after 13-innings due to rain.
