Yesterday Governor Josh Shapiro officially signed the school cell phone ban bill into law.
All schools are required to adopt and implement policies prohibiting the use of cell phones throughout the school day.
Although, schools are required to immediately begin adopting and implementing a phone ban, they will not have to be compliant with the new state law until the 2027-28 school year.
Plans must also include exceptions for medical conditions and educational plans.
