
A large group of Pennsylvania State Police have received statewide recognition for their actions in response to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a Butler rally nearly one year ago.
Governor Josh Shapiro has selected the Presidential Rally Incident Team to receive a Governor’s Award for Excellence for “heroic actions to protect the public and aid victims” as well as tireless work “on the monthslong investigation into the incident.”
The Presidential Rally Incident Team includes Ryan Boughter, Travis Buckshire, Vincent Buonpane, Gesuele Burello, Christopher Callaghan, James Copeland Jr., Joseph Daransky, James David Jr., Andrew Dindinger, Joshua Fachet, Matthew Falcone, Richard Giustini, Kurtis Glasgow, Michael Graham, John Herold, Jeffrey Johns Jr., Donald Kotuby Jr., Martin Mihelic, Michael Miller, Timothy Morando, Daniel Mosura Jr., Mark Neugebauer, Joseph Olayer, Clinton Painter, Joseph Pokorny, Amelia Russin, Eric Stadterman, John Stutz, Brian Tanner, Michael Taylor, David Thompson, Sharon Weigle, and Eric Young.
A total of two individuals and nine groups of state employees were selected to receive this award from 125 nominations received.
