The Pittsburgh Steelers finalized their 53-man roster yesterday. The Steelers opted to take four quarterbacks, with both Drew Allar and Will Howard making the team.
The Steelers also kept Mt. Lebanon graduate Eli Heidenreich, who is listed as a wide receiver/running back.
The Steelers also made a couple of notable trades over the weekend. Former first round draft pick Broderick Jones was sent to the Dallas Cowboys along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for a third and sixth round pick next year.
Also, running back Kaleb Johnson was traded for a sixth-round pick in 2028.
Safety Deshon Elliot will start the season on Injured Reserve, missing the first four games.
Linebackers Malik Harrison and Elandon Roberts were both cut from the roster.
Former Pitt defensive lineman Aaron Donald is back after two years of retirement, re-signing with the Los Angeles Rams on a one-year $20 million deal.
