Nearly 20 downed wired calls were made in Butler County due to the strong storms that rolled through the area Thursday afternoon.
Just after 3:30 p.m., calls started to come into the Butler County 911 Center for downed wires due to the strong storms. Calls would continue to come in until 7:30 p.m.
Some homes also lost power as crews dealt with the downed wires.
This morning, just under 300 homes are without power according to First Energy.
Over 100 of those homes are in Slippery Rock Township.
