
Summertime events have led to a big surge in visitors to Butler County.
Experience Butler County says an estimated 200,000 visitors have traveled to Butler for four major events so far this summer.
The Big Butler Fair led the way with 150,000 estimated attendees. The Jeep Fest, Lernerville Firecracker 100, and the Mars New Year Festival also contributed another 50,000 combined.
Officials say tourism plays an important role in Butler County’s economy, with the most recent number showing over $666 million in visitor spending.
