On Friday of last week, Alexis Cashdollar of the Mars girls basketball team passed the 1,000 career point plateau. She scored a game-high 21 points in the Planets 38-29 win over Chartiers Valley.
Also last week, Karns City basketball senior Naomi Venesky reached the 1,000 career point mark in their game against Brookville. She is the 11th Gremlin in program history to do so. Karns City defeated Brookville 43-25 to win the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference regular-season championship.
