A mosquito sample in Butler Township has been confirmed with West Nile Virus.
The Mercer County Conservation District reported the positive sample earlier this week.
This is the fifth instance of West Nile Virus in Butler County this year.
Additional sampling and surveillance of the area involving the positive test will continue over the next few weeks.
No human cases have been reported in Butler County so far this year.
