Four people from Harrisville were hurt- including two seriously- in a multi-vehicle, weekend accident on Interstate 80 near Ohio.
The crash happened about 6 p.m. Friday in Shenango Township, Mercer County and involved two vehicles and two motorcycles.
According to State Police, a vehicle was heading westbound on I-80 in the right lane when the driver slammed on the brakes and swerved into the left lane. That caused a chain-reaction crash involving one car and two motorcycles.
24-year-old Jordan Foster and 23-year-old Rebecca Harris- both of Harrisville- were on one of the Harley-Davidson bikes and were both seriously injured. They were taken to a Youngstown hospital.
55-year-old Milton Harris and 50-year-old Lisa Harris- again, both of Harrisville- were on the other Harley-Davidson and suffered minor injuries.
Police say the driver that caused the crash stopped momentarily but then fled the scene traveling east on I-80. Officers don’t know the make or model of the vehicle involved.
