An arrest warrant has been issued for a Romania man known to have multiple aliases, and allegedly stole money from Walmart.
In October of last year, police say 34-year-old Luci Motreanu came to the Walmart in Cranberry to make a Western Union Wire Transfer for $2,500. Motreanu first handed over cash and the cashier counted the money. But then Motreanu asked if he could recount the money and that is when he took back $1,200. The cashier did not recount the money and processed the full transfer.
Motreanu allegedly has multiple aliases and several arrest warrants have been issued for him.
He’s been charged with knowledge that property is proceeds of an illegal act, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
A warrant for Motreanu’s arrest has been issued in Butler County.
