A New Jersey man accused of attempting to kill a woman at Moraine State Park had his bond lowered and is now facing new charges.
On May 2, police were called to Bear Run Road around 3 a.m. for a shooting. Police say 31-year-old Jevonn Brown shot his girlfriend after the two got into an argument.
Brown was charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
Yesterday, Brown waived his preliminary hearing. The charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault were also added. Brown did also request to remove the monetary bond.
But Judge Joseph Nash said due to the charges and Brown’s previous criminal record the monetary bond would just be lowered from $1.5 million to $1 million.
The case now moves to the Court of Common Pleas.
