Police have charged a Butler man after it’s alleged he fired fireworks at a home and car in the city of Butler.
On Sunday Police were called to a home on the 300 block of Negley Avenue around 9:15 pm for a fight involving multiple people.
When police arrived on scene, the victims accused 40-year-old Joshua Young and two others of firing fireworks at them and their parked vehicle.
According to charging documents, Young fired the fireworks from a moving vehicle while the victims were sitting outside on their porch. Young, who was driving the vehicle, would come back around the block to the home. He was then approached by one of the victims who started arguing with Young before he threw one of the victims to the ground and left the scene.
Young has been charged with simple assault and Propulsion of Missiles into an Occupied Vehicle. He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
