Pennsylvania American Water is providing more details on the rehab project of the water tank in Saxonburg.
Officials say the 250,000-gallon tank will undergo abrasive blasting and recoating the interior and exterior of the tank. They will also evaluate the structural support of the tower.
The $416,000 project started yesterday and is expected to wrap up by October.
The last rehab of the Saxonburg tank was 25 years ago.
