A Butler man is facing charges after being accused of cutting wires and damaging a security guard shack this weekend in Butler Township.
Around 2 a.m. Saturday an officer drove past the guard shack along Bantam Avenue and saw an e-bike.
According to charging documents, inside the shack was 55-year-old Matthew Ramsey with wiring on the floor, in a bag, and electrical tools. The officer accused Ramsey of causing a significant amount of damage to an electrical box in the shack.
Ramsey was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and theft of secondary metals.
Bail for Ramsey was set at $10,000 and he’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
