The Mars Area School board has accepted a fact-finding report and recommendations made by a neutral arbitrator.
Board President John Kennedy was the lone dissenting vote.
A representative of the Mars Area Educators Association informed the board that the members of the teachers union already voted to also accept the findings.
Mars administrators will now inform the state Labor Relations Board of the acceptance and the findings will be used as the basis for a new four year contract.
The details of the report are expected to be posted to the district website.
Some minor areas of concern that were not addressed by the fact-finder will continue to be negotiated before the contract is officially approved.
