Congressional Representative Mike Kelly recently honored a couple of local residents for selfless and significant contribution to the community.
Earlier this week, Mark Gordon and Scott Docherty were given Pennsylvania 16th Congressional District Community Champion awards.
Gordon has served as the Chief of Economic Development and Planning for Butler County for nearly a decade while Docherty has given back to Saxonburg as president of the steel building manufacturer CID Associates.
“For years, Mark Gordon and Scott Docherty have been instrumental leaders in communities across Butler County. They are most deserving of this award,” Rep. Kelly said in a statement.
Both men received an official award plaque from Rep. Kelly’s office, a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol building, and a statement of congratulations entered into the official Congressional Record.
