There will be over $75,000 in funding that will help with opioid prevention in northern Butler County.
County commissioners approved nearly $76,000 for the Karns City Communities That Care program.
The non-profit will use the funding to help expand programming, including opioid prevention, education, and to reduce the stigma behind addiction.
This follows a recommendation from the district attorney’s office to utilize some of the opioid settlement money for this initiative.
