Attorney General Dave Sunday has been encouraged by the passing of the state budget that saw his office receive more funding to serve Pennsylvanians.
The AG’s office will receive a budget of $170.8 million, which includes an increase in funding for the consumer protection investigations.
Sunday was also encouraged by funding the newly started human trafficking and organized retail theft sections. He says they will now be able to expand the network and communications of law enforcement and community collaborations.
Including house bill 1268, that would train hotel and motel workers to identify the signs of human trafficking, a ban on spoofing phone numbers, and law enforcement training on A.I. child sexual abuse material.
