Butler Area School District administrators are requesting that the state look into a business close to Historic Pullman Park.
Superintendent Dr. Brian White informed board members Monday night that he had received three parent complaints over the past month about activities at the medical marijuana dispensary a short distance from the park.
After learning that the state prohibits dispensaries closer than 1,000 feet from school facilities, White filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Even though the district took over as managers of the park last year, White also believes that Broad Street Elementary School could be within the prohibited distance.
