As part of the renovation of Diamond Park, the county is exploring the creation of a Memorial Wall to honor veterans.
Due to the construction, a number of the bricks honoring veterans that were installed at the park will have to be removed. In its place, the county is looking to create a Memorial Wall that could possibly be placed alongside the county government building.
Commissioners say there are about 1,600 bricks that are at Diamond Park.
They add the bricks are very fragile and are past their lifespan, which prompted the idea of the wall.
