Local students and families planning to attend Butler Area School District Athletic events should be aware of new requirements.
An email from Senior High School Administration outlines “expectations for spectators attending sporting events”.
These expectations include no student bags permitted inside the stadium for football games and all students in kindergarten through 8th grade must remain seated in the spectator stands under direct supervision of a parent or guardian during the entire event. Also, students will not be allowed to gather or loiter behind the stands, around the concession areas, or restrooms. Finally, a ticket is required for entry into the stadium and tickets will be sold until the beginning of the 4th quarter.
Administrators concluded by stating that “security and district staff” have the sole discretion in determining the removal of a student and/or spectator from the stadium or school property.
