It’s the beginning of the fall semester for both colleges in Butler County.
Students begin classes at both Butler County Community College and Slippery Rock University today.
Enrollment numbers are not official for either school, but Slippery Rock University is continuing to buck the trend of seeing a declining student population according to President Dr. Karen Riley.
BC3 President Megan Coval says they continue to look at programming to help attract students.
The fall semester runs until the first week of December.
