The loss eliminated the United States. They finish in eighth place. Canada moves on to the semifinals, where they will meet Finland Saturday.
The Carolina Hurricanes host the Montreal Canadiens tonight for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Final Series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Game time is 8pm on TNT/truTV and HBO Max. A win sends Carolina to the final series against Vegas. A Canadiens victory will send the series back to Montreal for Game 6 on Sunday.
